To answer a one-day question, read the exact Release Date and time on each card and retain only events within the preceding 24 hours.
The list can show no cards at a given moment. That only describes what the rolling page displays then. It does not prove that no release occurred earlier, that a person remains held, or that the spelling used in a search matches the booking record. The Sheriff also warns that the web copy cannot certify accuracy or authenticity. A booking/release sheet or release-log entry is the stronger document when the precise event matters.

A court may have entered a bond or release order while jail processing is still underway, and a person absent from both tabs may simply fall outside the county's short web window.

- State supervision

Follow a transfer in the receiving system. Marion/Walthall County Correctional Facility belongs to the MDOC state-custody path even though its name includes Walthall. Federal prison releases belong in the BOP locator, while VINELink does not cover BOP custody.
Does Bond Prove Walthall Release?
No. The Walthall County released card retains a Bond field, but a dollar amount or “denied” notation does not show why custody ended. Bond is a release condition set in the case; it is not the executed release event. Justice Court may handle bond and preliminary hearings, while the Sheriff records the physical exit from jail. The official website also publishes no set release-processing schedule, exit door, property-return process, family waiting area, or local transportation plan. Direct those operational questions to the Detention Center rather than borrowing details from another jail.
Press coverage also cannot fill a blank same-day feed. A news item may focus on one arrest or agency action and omit routine exits. The official card, booking identifier, and release sheet remain the proper sequence. When the card shows charges, remember that they describe the booking side of the event. The court file is the source for dismissal, plea, conviction, or other disposition.
