MDOC's public Inmate Search uses a different term: Tentative Release Date. That is an estimate for a state sentence, not an actual release field in VINELink. MDOC also offers a separate Parolees Search. A parole match indicates conditional community supervision, while full discharge requires stronger MDOC records.
Date labels solve different questions. The county Release Date records when a Walthall booking ended. VINELink's update time records when its automated entry changed. An MDOC Tentative Release Date is a projection that may move as sentence credit, conduct, a detainer, court action, or release planning changes. A Flat Time Date on a parolee result is another state sentence or supervision field. Compare the label as well as the date before drawing any conclusion.

Confirm Walthall VINELink Release Events
No result does not prove release. The agency may not participate for that event, the record may lag, the name could differ, or an older out-of-custody entry may no longer be retained. Likewise, an alert is not the court order or certified jail record. Preserve the event wording and time, call SAVIN for the automated message, and contact the named source agency.
